To strengthen the team, we are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Project Officer. This position involves close collaboration with EPHA’s Organisational Development and Policy colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Support project management and reporting across EPHA’s Food Systems and AMR portfolio, with particular focus on the implementation of project activities, preparation and monitoring of project budgets, development of project plans, timelines, deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate on the communication and dissemination strategy, adapting to project topics and target audiences, and manage external stakeholder coordination.
- Contribute to developing EPHA’s social media strategy for specific projects, manage accounts, and track engagement metrics.
- Facilitate the development of communication materials, either through internal teams or external suppliers, ensuring their effectiveness in reaching diverse stakeholders.
- Track key performance indicators to evaluate the success and impact of project tasks, including campaign activities, event management, and communications.
- Identify further funding opportunities and contribute to the development of grant proposals. Play an active role in ensuring that the projects, in the pipeline and ongoing, are aligned with EPHA’s overall organisational strategy and objectives.
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Master’s degree in public health, policy, or equivalent, or a MSc in Project Management or a related field;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management, preferably within public health or similar sectors, with demonstrated knowledge of EU health-related policies; experience working on EU-funded projects is an advantage;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 level required); other European languages are a plus;
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and adapt to a dynamic project environment;
- Experience in creating and managing content for social media; knowledge of tools like Canva or InDesign, is beneficial;
- Strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for teamwork, especially in a multicultural, multilingual setting;
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, able to adapt to evolving project needs and environments;
- Availability for travel within Europe when necessary.
What we offer:
- Full-time position (38 hours/week) based on Belgian labour legislation
- 1 year contract with the possibility of extension (performance based, funding permitted)
- Gross monthly salary ranging from , depending on the relevant experience and qualifications
