Public health civil society organisations expressed their deep concern over the decision taken by the heads of political groups in the European Parliament on 5 September to postpone the debate and vote on the Tobacco Products Directive(TPD). The vote had been scheduled for the European Parliament’s (EP) September plenary session, but has now been delayed until 8 October. EPHA calls on a strong TPD adopted without further delay.
