The Better Regulation for Better Health project is a four-year collaboration between academics and civil society actors. Its aim is to explore the impact of the Better Regulation Agenda on EU health policymaking and to build capacity among civil society for greater engagement in the policy process.

Workshop on the revision of the Food Information to Consumers Regulation
On 6 June 2023, EPHA organised a workshop aimed at discussing the topic of the European Commission’s revision of the Food Information to Consumers (FIC) Regulation, initially expected for the end of 2022. Food information to consumers is considered a key policy to support consumers in making healthier (and potentially more sustainable) food choices and improving their dietary patterns. The event sought to set the scene by presenting the current FIC Regulation and explaining the current revision and its challenges, setting alcohol labelling as a specific case study.
Workshop on using access-to-document requests to support health policy advocacy
On 6 December 2023, EPHA organised a workshop aimed at familiarise EPHA members with access-to-document (A2D) systems, focusing on the EU system. A2D requests, commonly used by journalists, can be valuable for health policy advocacy. The workshop highlights ways A2D systems can support advocacy and campaigning, showcasing examples from national systems.
