Cooking Appliances regulation should reflect the health risks of gas cooking by setting emission limits

EPHA was invited to participate in the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum meeting on Cooking appliances on 29 November 2022. This meeting brought together representatives from the Commission, the Joint Research Centre, member states, industry and civil society. Following the presentations and discussions on the day, EPHA submitted written comments to the Commission. We will continue to engage with this process, advocating for a phase-out of gas stoves, which are a significant source of indoor pollution linked to negative health outcomes, including an increased risk of childhood asthma.
