[Event announcement] Launch of the Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) Report “The Cost of Exclusion from Healthcare: the Case of Irregular Migrants”

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) will unveil key data and findings on the sensitive issue of irregular migrants and access to healthcare. A panel of high level speakers will reveal and discuss FRA’s Report “The Cost of Exclusion from Healthcare: the Case of Irregular Migrants” in an exclusive launch session.

The right to health is a basic social right. However, its understanding and application differs across the European Union (EU) Member States, which results in different healthcare services being offered to migrants in an irregular situation.

Does restricting migrants’ access to emergency healthcare actually save costs? The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights’ Report “The Cost of Exclusion from Healthcare: the Case of Irregular Migrants” focuses on this question.
The report’s findings will be unveiled in an exclusive panel session in the framework of European Public Health Alliance 6th Annual Conference in September.
