Health and Housing in the EU Roma Framework

12 October 2022

10:00 - 11:30 CEST

Online

In the context of the EU Roma Framework for 2030, member states were expected to submit Roma inclusion strategies by September 2021. The Roma Health Network has been following the developments on these strategies closely, and based on research done by our members, current gaps in the Framework have been identified. With most of the strategies now released, the Network conducted a review with a specific focus on health and housing, culminating in a policy paper which will be released in October.

Ahead of the Commission recommendations, this event aims to present and discuss the main findings of the paper, with topics such as health advocacy, health meditation, mental health, housing strategies and environmental justice being covered. Through this discussion and potential recommendations, the Network intents to help turn this decade of Roma inclusion into a great leap forward for Roma health and Roma equality.
