The global threat of AMR is not only a serious cross-border health challenge, directly affecting the lives of all Europeans but also threatens global economic development and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The European Parliament can play a key role in boosting actions to tackle AMR at EU level. The MEP Interest Group on AMR offers a unique opportunity to address AMR. This first official meeting kickstarted the activities of the MEP Interest Group on AMR for the parliamentary term 2019-2024.
