Influencing policies to better deliver for Roma and other vulnerable groups

10-11 December 2018, Romania

On 10-11 December 2018, the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) organised a capacity building training in Romania, aimed at representatives of vulnerable groups, including Roma. The objective was to strengthen their participation in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies affecting their lives and local communities.

A total of 25 participants, representing health mediators, healthcare professionals, local Roma community experts and country experts benefited from the information provided during the training held by EPHA Health Equity Policy Coordinator, Marius Tudor. The training used open space dialogue and working in small groups as faciilitation methods, and as a result of the training, participants improved their skills in analysing strategic documents and developing policy papers.

The event was also transmitted live by PAKIV TV, a national Roma television outlet.
