Investing in Roma Youth to advance fairer and
healthier European societies
12 October 2021
14:30 - 15:30 CET
Online
Facing multiple socio-economic disadvantages, Roma Youth is disproportionately affected by intersectional inequalities perpetuated within generations. Although new policies aim to ensure Europe’s social and economic recovery, systemic gaps in education, employment, health, housing exacerbated by the pandemic, remain under-addressed within such policies, when it refers to Roma.
The workshop will highlight the role of Roma Youth in building fairer and healthier post-COVID societies by providing space for dialogue and mutual learning as well as sharing good practices and successful initiatives addressing long-standing inequalities.
The event will take place as part of the Fundamental Rights Forum 2021. The workshop organised jointly by EPHA, the Slovenian Coalition for Public Health, Environment and Tobacco Control, and the Center of Community Research and Action at the University of Seville aims to bring together EU and national policymakers, major civil society organisations and national public health authorities.
