Lethal but legal
in conversation with Prof. Nicholas Freudenberg
23 April 2018
18:30 - 20:00 CEST
Mundo B, Brussels
Organised by Wemos, the European Public Health Alliance and Corporate Europe Observatory
Prof. Freudenberg, a distinguished Professor of Public Health at the City University of New York and Director of the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute, studies how big corporations in the food, tobacco, alcohol, pharmaceutical and other industries use their knowledge and power to promote corporate profits at the expense of public health, and has been actively helping to build a movement to address the negative impacts of large corporations and their lobbying power on public health.
The event discussed the interesting policy solutions that he offers, which are relevant for EU policy-making and ensuring effective health policies.
