The EU School scheme under threat under the Commission’s Work Programme 2015 Better Regulation agenda.

If the European Commission push with its plans – as outlined in its 2015 Work Programme – the EU regulation regarding the aid scheme for the supply of fruit and vegetables, bananas and milk in the educational establishments will likely to be put on hold or withdrawn whatsoever.

The whole scheme will be evaluated for subsidiarity, proportionality and better regulation reasons as part of the CAP simplification. Pending this the Commission recommends to the colegislators that work on the amending proposal of 2013 should be put on hold.
