The food system is vital for the well-being of present and future generations.
On 30-31 May the EU Presidency of the Netherlands hosted an Informal Agriculture Council on the future of the food system ’Food for the future – The future of food’.
EPHA’s input to this debate briefly highlights the added value of a food policy approach to the food and agricultural system, the key challenges that need to be overcome and the types of actions that deserve priority.
This submission follows on the conference ’Towards a Sustainable Food Policy’ held on 11 March 2016 co-organised by EPHA and EEB and hosted by the Netherlands Permanent Representation to the EU.
